Our two trainers have over 25 years of experience with the neurodivergent community. Both are neurodivergent themselves and have neurodivergent families.
Hi. My name’s Emma. I’m a mother of two neurodivergent (now adult) sons. I spent 25 years working in Norfolk schools, mostly as a SEND teacher and adviser. I’m also an ex-therapeutic foster carer. For the last seven years I’ve been working as a self-employed therapist, coach, trainer and education consultant specialising in neurodiversity. More recently I trained as an ADHD coach and I work with clients of all ages with a range of neurodivergent conditions. I was also diagnosed with ADHD myself in 2023.
My passion has always been helping people to achieve their potential. Helping people understand their own neurodivergence and how to work with their unique brains is a privilege that I really enjoy. By developing ATTUNED neurodiversity coach training with my colleague Lisa, I am really excited to have the opportunity to able to help others undertake the same work and hopefully share our passion for helping neurodvergent individuals understand themselves in a more positive way and to use this understanding to help them achieve their goals, whatever they may be.
Hi, I’m Lisa. 1/7 of my neurodivergent family. I have a diagnosis of ADHD and my partner is AuDHD. She and I together have 5 neurodivergent children. Our children all have diagnoses including Autism, ADHD, PDA, DCD, SPD, Dyslexia and Dyscalculia. So safe to say, we live and breathe neurodivergence. Three years ago my lived experience developed into a passion and then a career and since 2021 I have been running Perspective Coaching, a private coaching practice working with children, teens and adults. As my client base increased and I found myself consistently at full capacity for client sessions, I realised that I wanted to reach and support more people to help them understand the root of neurodivergent presentations.
Together with Emma, we developed the ATTUNED approach to support other like minded people to train in neurodiversity coaching. I am passionate about providing better support to accommodate and empower the neurodivergent community, promoting the acceptance of the barriers that may present, understand the root of those barriers and use neuroaffirming tools to empower that individual to get their needs met without causing unnecessary discomfort or distress.
